I look at this picture of the cabin we built deep in the forest of Oregon in the 70’s and I smile. So much has changed in the last four decades. The trees have grown and so have my sons.
Ryan and his brothers played with tonka toys as children.
Now it is their children who play in the dirt.
My four sons in the old days read books and took off their socks in the light of kerosene lamps.
Today I write this blog in my home on a computer with electricity generated by solar power.
I shake my head in wonderment and pleasure looking back to those early years.
